Julia and I met up before the live to have lunch and we went to this burger place that Julia said was good. I got a BBQ burger with avocado and egg and Julia got a sandwich. I really liked the look of this place, it was cute and they have very cute hamburger stools at the waiting area outside!

I was actually super stressed out on this day because I had to catch a night bus to Sendai for Vrzel after the Mejibray live but I was afraid I wouldn't make it on time and such and such. And even if I made it on time, I was afraid I'd look bad for Vrzel's instore and live. The live will start at around 5:30 PM and Julia told me it wouldn't be more than 1.5 hours so I was relieved a bit. I was probably the calmest Mejibray fan there tonight because there were way too many things that diluted my attention and feelings. I really like Mejibray still though!
When we entered the venue, we stood to the far left, which was on Koichi's side. We weren't too close but not too far. The view was good. The atmosphere was very intense and no one knew what to expect today. The lights dimmed on the audience side and the members silently came out. I was honestly very surprised that Koichi and Tzk painted themselves black from face to hands. I felt they were trying to express something that they weren't allowed to express by words and that the black face+hands meant something but I also didn't want to make assumptions on it.
The first song they played was 剥落. I really love this song so I was very excited to hear it!!! I've been debating to headbang for Mejibray or not since I wanted to save my energy for tomorrow's Vrzel live. I didn't feel like I wanted to headbang till they played Nanaki. I loooove Nanaki so I did almost every furi for that song. As usual, Mejibray lives are 80% moshing and jumping lol. I was so tired midway through the live but it was so awesome to see Koichi's face expressions. He looked proud and happy.
I actually did not catch on with what happened at the end of the live. I only remembered I was happily doing furi and the next thing I knew... Koichi was standing in the middle on the vocal's spot and Tzk was no where to be seen at where I was standing (I forgot what Mia and Meto were doing). I saw Koichi sticking up his middle fingers at the balcony area and he seemed like he was mouthing something and then I couldn't recognize if he had a super wide grin or grimace face on. Shortly after, the curtains came down and the live was over. Again, up to now, I still had no idea what really happened. I do not want to make any assumptions or interpretations on this live. There will be a dvd of this live so I will wait till it is released to watch back on what happened.
After the live, everyone was super emotional. I gave Julia a tight hug for a while and then I had to rush to the merch line for chekis. Julia was with Kristina so I was a relieved. I got the chekis and I went back into the venue to check on Julia and then I had to rush back to my airbnb to shower+wash my hair+catch my night bus to Sendai. I reserved a 11PM bus and it will arrive in Sendai the following morning 5AM.
While walking to the station, there were a bunch of band guys from super small/new bands passing out flyers. I was hoping to see Bratbax or Vrzel members but didn't see any. But instead a member from Mummy passed a flyer to me and he was the long black hair member which I did not know the name and role of. I looked at the flyer and said, "Ah! Mummy! suki desu!" and he said, "ah! really!?" I think I nodded and walked on because I was in a rush.
I believe that they will be back because they said so.
Because they said this is a haitus.
I have faith in them.
Final comments/thoughts on Mejibray on this trip:
I would definitely feel more emotional during the tour final if I didn't have back to back Vrzel lives the day before and the day after Mejibray's tour final (12/15, 12/17). However, I did had a lot of fun during the Mejibray tour final. Since I've started liking Mejibray, I always go back and forth on having positive and negative feelings in them. The first few times that I got to meet them was probably the worst time to do so because their schedule was very packed and most likely they were tired so some members were just less friendly looking like others. Whatever the reason was, I'm glad I got to know what each member was like a little more than before. I am not attached to Mejibray nor a hardcore fan anymore however after all these years of seeing them every time I am in Japan, Tzk and Koichi earned most of my respect. I really love how strong their friendship is and are great they are as musicians. Up to now, I still cannot forget how gentle Tzk's handshake was. I have never had such a gentle sincere handshake before...
