My Airbnb was not available after 11/16 11AM so I had to carry my baggage for the day. I originally wanted to look for a coin locker at a station close to the venue however there were no lockers!!! Next, I decided to check if the venue has lockers or not and Anna told me there are coin lockers at Osaki station. The venue is on the way to Osaki station so I checked the venue first.
I arrived at the venue and walked down the stairs just to find out that they also do not seem to have coin lockers. So I walked back up the stairs to head to the Osaki station instead. Right at the corner, I saw a van!!!!!!! AND THEN I SAW THE BACK OF SOMEONE’S HEAD WITH PINK HAIR... and then the back of someone’s HEAD WITH BLONDE HAIR......!!! By then I knew immediately that was VRZEL'S VAN!! I was so shocked and happy and excited at the same time. I have never seen VRZEL before so I was extra delighted even though I couldn’t see their faces at all. I tried to act calm while walking past their van and trying to peak at them. I kept trying to turn back to see if I can see Cion more, lol. Anyways, life must go on and I continued on my way to meet up with Anna.
Anna and I were supposed to go to The Mark coffee shop in the morning before my instore but we both ended up running late so we decided to just have brunch near Osaki station. We ate at a place in a nearby mall on 5th floor and then after that, we parted ways and I left for the VRZEL instore.

I thought I was going to be late but when I arrived, they haven’t started calling the numbers yet. After a few minutes of waiting, a staff came out to call for numbers to go in. I had #1 so I was called to go in first. My seat was the first seat to the left on first row. While waiting for the members to come, the staff handed out Q&A sheets. She tried to hand me one but I told her that I couldn’t write in Japanese so I didn’t want to write one.
The staff sincerely told us to clap for VRZEL when they come in. The members came and we clapped. They were all wearing casual, comfortable-looking clothing. To my luck, Cion sat on the first seat to the left, which was the seat directly in front of me. I still couldn’t believe it: on my first VRZEL instore, I got ticket #1, and it was my first time sitting right in front of my top member without anyone else’s head in my way.
What I noticed and my first thoughts during the first few minutes of the instore:
Cion: The first thing I noticed was Cion’s super bright yellow sweatshirt and it looked great on him even though I rarely like yellow clothing. He was also wearing a lot of accessories.... like a lot. My first impression of him was he looked better in photos than in person. His eye make up, circle lenses color, lips color, and clothing color made no sense together if those weren't on him. In general, I dislike yellow circle lenses but on him, it looked perfect. His aura made everything he wore blended well together. His face was tinier than I thought it would be but he was also taller than I thought he was. His skin wasn't as smooth as his super-photoshopped-photos showed, lol! Lastly, his teeth are so crooked though... but it looked so cute on him and I love it. His hair looked like it was styled but at the same time, it looked like it wasn't style but it looked so casual and fun to touch because it was puffy looking. His aura was unpredictable and he still looked too perfect to be real.
Shikina: He was the most not visually appealing one to me *SORRY..* but his aura seemed very approachable. But I also found his personality to be kinda of dull since I usually like dorks/weirdos.
Ryoya: I thought he would have an aura like Meto but actually, Ryoya's aura was very approachable and not as scary than I thought he was. Like he's not a doll at all but it seems like he just doesn't want to talk but he interacts with fans a lot with his expressions and eyes. He is still so weird though but I find him interesting.
Kira: He was indeed handsome. Like real handsome and cool. He had on a cute cat pouch hanging from his neck. (I think that was so cute!) His hair was entirely flat and not styled.
Kuu: He looked better in person than in videos! He had a shy feminine aura. He was always holding on/playing with his my melody plush though, like a kid. And have a somewhat innocent character put on. He looked super cute but his actions were too cute for my taste.
Today’s talk theme was each time a member laughs, that member had to take off a piece of their outfit. I had forgotten the theme of the talk during the time when Cion took off his yellow sweatshirt, shortly followed by some of his rings. After a while I finally remembered the talk theme and was able to catch up with what was happening. They read from the question sheets and replied to them. I had almost no clue on what they talked about and couldn't focus nor digest Japanese that moment. I only remember I think on a paper, it asked the members to do a sexy/kakkoi pose. During the whole talk part, I wasn’t able to sit still and kept fidgeting with everything I could. I was super nervous to be on first row right in front of Cion! All the members looked too perfect. I’ve felt anxious before at instore talks but today’s was the worst that I’ve experienced. I felt super bad as if I was having a slight panic attack during the whole time. The instore was so fun but I had a few thoughts of wanting it to be over soon so I can stop feeling anxious WHILE also hoping it wouldn’t end yet.
It seemed like the most hyper and goofy member was Cion. Apparently he kept laughing so he ended up having to take off a lot of of things. He took off all his jewelries and he even took off the hoop in his stretched ear hole flare plug. After he ran out of jewelries to take off, he had to take off all his tops. Before he took the top off, he turned to the members and pulled up his shirt and asked the members if his naked top looked good or not and the members told him yes and he took his last piece of top off. All the other members eventually lost all their top clothing as well and were all naked on top. Before they took off their top, they also did what Cion did before: pulled up their shirt to confirm with the other members if their naked top looked good or not lol! The members always answered it looks good.
Cion was such a brat though, he kept doing random things to make other members laugh. For example, Cion put water bottles on his nipples to make other members laugh. Also, it seemed like Cion felt super cold because he was stripped on the top and could never stay still. He was stepping and squatting on his chair on and off just moving around. He tried to take his top to cover up but the staff was like that's cheating and he wasn't allowed to do that, HAHAH!
Cion and Ryoya were the only two who had to take off their pants. Cion was a bit whiny about taking off his pants because he seemed embarrassed (or he either faked it lol). He pulled open his pants and took a look at his "something" and then asked the members if it looked ok and then he faced the fans, and actually pulled his pants down enough to reveal his crotch(with underwear still on) for about like a quick 1~2 seconds and asked the fans if it looks ok. (WTF CION!!!!!!!!!!! p.s. his underwear was pink LOLOL) and then Cion was offered a cardboard box to wear after he took his pants off. At first, Cion tried to sit with the cardbox and they even covered the front of the table to avoid Cion's private part to be seen from under the table. Eventually he found it uncomfortable to sit and he ended up sitting and standing back and forth.
It was funny when Ryoya needed other members help to take off top because of his long wig. Ryoya also got a cardboard box to put around him as well. At some point, he didn’t seemed to care anymore and just threw his box away! (LOL) I think he was on and off using the cardboard. I was surprised that Ryoya laughing/giggled so much... That was entirely out of my expectation from what I thought was his character. I slowly found myself being super interested in knowing more about him. His face was literally all squeezed together when he was trying to suppress his laughter. It was so ridiculously funny to see him try so hard not to laugh and sometimes he even had to try to hide it by turning his face away (to the right) from the MC staff to avoid punishment but the member to his right called him out LOL!
Cion kept laughing regardless as if he wasn't even trying anymore (most likely because he thought he had nothing else to lose anymore.....) BUT WRONG. The staff MC told him he had to take off his underwear as well.... and Cion kept questioning if it was mandatory for him to do so and if he will be taking the satsuei with his resulting outcome. The staff MC said yes and yes. LOL. (During the whole time, I was actually wondering if they were going to go that far to doing so... but I guess yeah.) The staff MC "helped" Cion pull his underwear down from under the cardboard, haha! And afterwards, they taped up the cardboard to Cion's hip so it wouldn't fall.
Results at the end of the talk: Congrats to Shikina, Kira, and Kuu for only being topless but have all their pants on still. Good job to Ryoya for having his last piece of clothing on still: his underwear. So sorry to Cion for being the ultimate loser of today's game despite he has the most things on him at the beginning of the talk.
Today's instore was the weirdest instore I've ever been to up to this day.
Eye contacts with members during the talk (I know.. they were nothing special but whatever):
I only looked at Cion and Ryoya. I think Cion and I exchanged quick glances only once but nothing special happened since I was also an awkward new face there. I somewhat had a few seconds of staring at Ryoya while he was staring back at me.
After the talk, it was time for the album jacket sign. I was the first to go up to the members. I did not know what to say and ended up looking stupid! I said "hajimemashite". The manager, the members, all the other fans all made surprised sounds ("EH!? NANI!? HAJIMEMASHITE!?", etc..) UGH THAT MOMENT I WISH I COULD DIG A HOLE AND HIDE IN THERE. I quickly said I came from America (=.=")... sigh. I handed Cion my cd jacket, he signed it and said "USA" while he wrote USA next to his sign. I said thanks and then I moved on to Shikina. And then on to Ryoya. He looked at my necklace and drew my necklace next to his sign and he also wrote Thank You in English. Kira was being noisy and asked Ryoya what he drew and Ryoya pointed to my necklace. I asked Ryoya if he knows English and he nodded. I asked him if he can speak. He made an x with his two index fingers. And then I said ok and I moved on to Kira. And then to Kuu. I did not attempt to talk to any of them other than Ryoya. While I was back in my seat waiting for the satsueikai session, I watched and heard the interactions between the members and the other fans. I really wished that I had worked harder in studying my Japanese..
When it was time for the satsueikai, they put a divider around the area for that. I was the first to go and I decided on being next to Cion and Kuu for the group shot and Cion for the 2-shot. Cion stood for the photo since he had a cardboard on him, lol. I was so nervous and I don't think I even looked at the members at all when I walked to my seat. I was so stiff and my faced was stiff as well. I did not know how to feel nor know what I was or should be doing. I sat down, Cion put his hand on my shoulder and I just looked at the camera. After the group shot was taken, I think Cion said Thanks and (I think) he patted my head. He was about to leave and the camera man said I also have a 2-shot with Cion. I think Cion seemed surprised and he turned back to his spot. I was still sitting there stiff as rock and just went along with whatever was happening. I felt Cion put one of his hand on my shoulder again and felt his other hand on my head kind of pushing/putting my head to him. So when I got my senses back on what just happened... I felt the right side of my face and his left naked side of the stomach was only separated by my hair. Also, there was no way that I could move my head and it was tilted... It would look stupid if I looked at the camera for the photo so instead, I just closed my eyes and covered the bottom half of my face because I couldn't digest wtf was happening. After that, I stood up and faced the other members while Cion was writing a comment on my 2-shot with him. Ryoya was glaring at me with very wide eyes and I just glared at him back with real wide eyes. His reaction to my reaction was he then flipped his hair with his hand like how girls does and I just laughed LOL! After that, Cion was done writing a comment on the cheki and he handed it back to me and I said thanks and left to head to the live venue. As I was walking on the street... I had like 10 minutes of not knowing wtf I was doing nor supposed to be heading to. I was just walking and was still in aftershock moment from the instore. I can dare to say I nearly forgotten what my own name was right after LOL!
Shortly after the instore, VRZEL's manager made a tweet about not allowing today's satsueikai photos to be posted on social media. Haha!!!!

I was the first time seeing VRZEL at a live so I had no idea what to expect nor if I'd end up loving them or hating them. Although their instores seem super fun, it's the lives that will make them my top band or not. It was quite a torture waiting and having to stay through the other bands since VRZEL were playing last. All I remembered during the tag-along-bands was one of the vocals came down to the venue floor and demanding fans to participate in the furi.. omg.. I was so scared but I was standing on the side in the way back near the door so I was fine.
I was kind of not on the main floor as well since I was kind of hiding away at the drink bar area. Lastly it was VRZEL's turn and I wanted to stand at a better place so I can have a better view of Cion. I think there was one small open spot on farthest right on the last row so I went there. I kind of wished to hide away since it was my first VRZEL live but turns out that I wouldn't be able to hide away no matter where I stood.. I will explain later.
So VRZEL came on stage. I did not know majority of the songs yet since I have not ripped the songs off my cd to listen to yet. I was just following what others were doing for the furi. There was a song with a super abnormal furi and I was completely lost on what people were doing! It felt like the fans were doing cat paws/poses!?!?!?!? Man... I hated the furi for this song!!!!!! The song didn't sound bad at all but I honestly think that this will be one of the songs that I will hate the furi of... and it seems that Cion loves to point people out at lives if they are not doing furi. I usually do the oritatami furi but for one of them, I decided to observe the fans and just look at Cion but he pointed at me so I did the oritatami furi.
Although I did not recognize the majority of the setlist songs, I felt like I enjoyed the live 100%! I was so happy and so glad that I love VRZEL on stage so much! Cion was so perfect! I noticed he had his front hair/bangs styled up and I love that look in general because it looked so fresh and I like seeing foreheads and both eyebrows if they look good. Before the live, I was debating if I should buy 10 chekis to get a satsueikai but shortly after the live started, I decided to do so!
To me, VRZEL's lives were comparable to Lycaon's. I got the same feeling from VRZEL like I did for Lycaon. They were so fun and and energetic. There was a song where we have to kneel down and then we have to do a circular rotation headbang while the members does it with us. Of course, I do not headbang so I just looked at Cion doing so... he reminded me of Byo so much! Byo looked exactly like that when he headbangs!!!!!!!!!!! So actually let's just say VRZEL's lives felt more like a combination of Lycaon and Screw's lives.
After the live, I knew that VRZEL is definitely a keeper and they officially moved up to my top bands list. (But honestly saying, if Lycaon and Screw were still around, I wouldn't have time nor money to care to give a chance to VRZEL though)
Anyways!!! I bought 10 chekis at the buppan and there were 7 Cion, 1 Kira, 1 Ryoya, and 1 Shikina. The chekis from the instore were mixed with the live chekis. I got satsueikai ticket #4 and but ended up going in as #2 because I had to rush for my night bus back to Tokyo.
So here was the stupid moments again. After I walked in, I gave my phone to the camera man/manager and I greeted Cion and placed my things down on the right. Cion said something to me and I couldn't hear it so I had him repeat it but I still couldn't hear it so in the end, I think he gave up lol. I just stood there for idk what reason and Cion just grabbed me (by my shoulders?) back a few steps to stand in front of the camera man and he hugged me from the back for the photo. I felt his hand on my left (arm?) and I had my right hand slightly touching his hand and I can hear and sense he leaned his head on my right. I can hear his breath and him sniffing because I think he had a stuffy nose today LOL haha (MAYBE from the instore!??)!!! I WAS SO STIFF and I just went along with whatever. The camera man took the photo and he showed ME if it was ok but instead of ME looking at it, Cion looked at it and he said the lighting was bad on HIS face and he wanted a retake.... my mind was still blank and couldn't function.. I barely looked at the photo for more than a quick second and only glanced that the photo showed whatever I mentioned above and liked the photo actually BUT WHATEVER.. like I said, that moment I couldn't function and just went with whatever they wanted so I said ok. Cion did a similar pose and I felt his hand on my left but this time it wasn't as far so I wasn't able to hold on to his hand... but I did felt and heard him right next to my right ear again. After that, the camera man confirmed the photo with me... more like Cion again and he was happy with it. BUT THIS TIME, I WASN'T. I LIKED THE PREVIOUS PHOTO BETTER BUT IT WAS DELETED FOREVER SINCE I HAD HIM TAKE THE PHOTO WITH MY PHONE LOCKED STILL SO IT WAS STRAIGHT OFF DELETED AND NOT IN THE TRASH FOLDER. Whatever, I couldn't get myself to say anything. I said thank you to Cion and I started walking to pick up my bag to leave and I think Cion said either Thank you or Mata ne but when he said that... I felt a slap on the area between my right hip and right buttock... what? Big chance he probably wanted to pat my right arm but since I started walking to my bag already, it landed on the wrong place.... maybe. Whatever it was, I just pretended I didn't felt anything and turned back to reply him "mata ne" and grabbed my stuff. The manager asked me where I'm from and if I came from Tokyo. I was stupid enough to forget the situation where I was able to cut in line because I said I need to catch the night bus. I replied I came from America instead of telling him that I am heading to Tokyo tonight but am from America. Ok whatever, lol. Cion said, "You Japanese is jouzu desu!" and the manager said "that's amazing! Did you come to Osaka for VRZEL?" OK THE ANSWER WAS YES I DID BUT AGAIN, I was dumb. I didn't know how to answer and I think in the end, I kind of implied no. The manager asked me if I will come to tomorrow's live in Nagoya and I replied straigt up in English, "No" but then I quickly added in Japanese, "But I will come to the live in Niigata and Sendai" And Cion had a "prayer" hand pose and said "oh! Thank you!" And then once again, I said bye and then I walked out.
I honestly didn't want to even remember the talk during the after-live satsueikai because I probably sounded so dumb since I was replying off point. But what a day... lol.
